"Good" Kid

"Good" Kid is a motion graphic based on an interview about childhood memories. It combines both analog paper cutting and origami methods with additional editing in Adobe After Effects. The story tells of a pet grasshopper that undergoes a traumatic experience. As a result, baby In was able to grow from this experience and develop a sense of morality. Are there really such things as "good kids" or "bad kids" or are all kids just growing up?

After transcribing the interview, I decided which visuals were most important to the story.

I also thought about how to best utilize paper throughout the project. The paper was folded, cut, and crumpled as seen in the storyboard.
